ANNOUNCES 2009 “FRIENDS & FAMILY GOLF CRUISE”
SAILING TO NASSAU, BAHAMAS

New York, NY, June 10, 2008—Plans have been confirmed for the inaugural “Friends & Family Golf Cruise” that will follow the closing of the January 30th, 2009 PGA Merchandise Show and participants are invited to join the African American Golfer’s Digest, February 2-6, 2009, for a 5/day, 4/night voyage to Nassau, Bahamas. While there a tournament will be held at the lovely Cable Beach Golf Club.

“This program plans to be a great time for networking,” said publisher, Debert Cook. “We anticipate having fun onboard Royal Caribbean’s Monarch of the Seas and a grand time in Nassau, playing a round of golf at Cable Beach Golf Club.” The cruise ship departs at Cape Canaveral.

Throughout the last four years of presenting their Diversity Pavilion at the PGA Show, the African American Golfer’s Digest has developed a swath of loyal followers who look forward to stopping by each year, catchin-up with friends and getting the latest information on programs and events. The booth also attracts tremendous foot traffic, media coverage and special guests. “There is an estimated are 2.2 million African American golfers in the U.S. and our "Diversity Pavilion" has assisted dozens of minority firms in competing in the golf marketplace,” said Cook.

According to Cook, “On the cruise, we will have a wide array of activities for the entire family, including putt-putt golf, rock climbing, duty-free shopping, nightly live entertainment, water aerobics, spa, and a great assortment of meal choices, dance clubs, art, classes, and more.” Onboard, and in Nassau, Robin Aikens (LPGA) will offer a golf clinic and participate in the outing.
