2021 Internship applications for the American Junior Golf Association’s (AJGA) spring and summer 2021 programs have opened. The organization is committed to creating an engaging, safe, and inclusive environment and welcomes people from all backgrounds. AJGA believes that by embracing diverse perspectives, the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization will be better equipped to accomplish its mission of developing golf’s next generation.
The internship program seeks to diversify the golf industry by recruiting quality young men and women from all walks of life who bring their passion to work every day. Interns receive hands-on training and experiences that open doors to careers in golf, sports and the business world. The AJGA is also dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.
The Braselton, GA-based organization provides a platform for junior golfers from around the world to earn college golf scholarships, and values developing great people first. Their variety of programs focus on respecting the history, traditions and etiquette of the game, giving back and personal growth.
Participants selected for the AJGA Internship will travel thousands of miles throughout the country conducting junior golf tournaments alongside seven other interns, two trucks and a trailer. “You’ll be up early, stay late and have a whole lot of fun,” says the Director of Training and Development, Lauren Shelly.”
Some of the many benefits of participating include:
- Team Atmosphere
- Lifelong Friendships
