Job Description
Assists General Manager in achieving American Golf objectives by providing customer service in the pro shop, and overseeing daily golf course operations when General Manager is not present

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

 Checks members and guests in, utilizing the Point of Sale (POS) system, for processing purchases, credit card transactions, answering the telephone, and managing the reservation system in accordance with AGC standards

 Utilizes tee sheet demand management and demand generation strategies to meet marketing objectives
 Maintains the pro shop environment by keeping the shop neat and orderly by assisting Merchandiser with display of new merchandise, and vacuuming the shop each day and as needed; following corporate guidelines for opening and closing duties, including cash handling responsibilities; tallying tee sheet at end of day

 Manages golf shop staff job results by recruiting and recommending qualified candidates for hire; conducting training, supervision, and evaluation of staff, providing corrective action as necessary; scheduling of staff members to match demand patterns
 Handles escalated member/guest service issues in a prompt and effective manner

Additional Responsibilities:

 Maintains a professional and service-oriented environment in the pro shop by utilizing excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
 Provides assistance to other functions by assuming duties such as making bank deposits and performing administrative copying functions
 Implements and support all AGC initiatives and programs as requested by management
 Other duties may be assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications And Skill Requirements:

 High School Diploma required (2-Year college degree preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience
 1- 2 years experience in a customer service oriented environment, preferably in the golf/hospitality/service industry preferred
 Ability to work a flexible schedule
 Basic math skills and experience handling cash and credit card transactions and ability to operate office equipment required
 Experience handling customer service issues and the ability to communicate effectively with members, guests, co-workers and management
 Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
 Valid Driver’s License is required
