Building on a relationship that began last fall with Golf Pride’s investment in college scholarships and employment internships, Golf Pride and Stephen Curry have now teamed up to create a limited-edition grip kit. This collaboration supports and promotes Curry’s Underrated Golf brand, providing golfers with a unique way to stand out on the course.
“Stephen Curry is without question a legend in the game of basketball, but through Underrated, his legacy and impact on the game of golf have the potential to benefit generations to come,” said James Ledford, president of Golf Pride, in an interview with Golf.com. “This marks our first collaboration with a global icon of this stature, and working side-by-side with Stephen to bring this concept to life has been exciting and motivating for our team.” Ledford added, “Golf Pride is committed to actively investing in initiatives that ensure the future of our sport is strong and will make golf more accessible and inclusive to larger, more diverse audiences.”
Stephen Curry founded Underrated Golf to offer equity, access, and opportunity to deserving student-athletes from underserved communities. The mission is to increase the participation of competitive golfers from diverse backgrounds and to work with corporate partners to provide mentoring, networking, and visibility. The program also ensures that female players receive the same opportunities as their male counterparts.
Through the program, players gain critical exposure to college golf programs and potential NIL partners, along with access to training, equipment, leadership panels, and other benefits provided by tour sponsors. The Golf Pride X Underrated grip kit comes in standard and midsize options, featuring Stephen’s “SC” logo in the upper portion of the grip and Underrated’s three-star logo as a visual reference.
In homage to Stephen’s 82-game NBA season, there are only 8,200 individually numbered kits, available while supplies last at www.golfpride.com for $249.99.
