Pay-per-view networks get ready because some folks out there are ready to put up some money to see this young golfer Charlie Woods play. Tiger Woods‘ 11-year-old son, Charlie, has been causing quite a stir with his back-to-back wins. Just last week the youngster had golf fans going cra-cra (crazy) after winning a nine-hole junior tournament.
Charlie shot 3-under par at the nine-hole competition where he won by five shots. Now, the son of iconic golfer Tiger Woods can claim back-to-back victories after shooting 1-under par on the South Florida junior golf circuit.
The amazing youngster was the only player on the field to shoot below par in the 9-11 age division, nine-hole tournament. Was it just a stroke of good luck? Many fans think it’s in the genes.
At his first win his father Tiger caddied for him, so just imagine what those on-course conversations must have been like. Whenever possible, Tiger enjoys being on the bag for his son, however, this time, Charlie (who’s namesake is the late World Golf Hall of Famer Charlie Sifford, did it without his 15-time major champion father Tiger by his side.
This round, Tiger was busy competing himself in The Northern Trust, the first of three FedEx Cup play-offs, where he shot a 6-under par final round to finish T58.
Tiger has qualified for the next play-off which will be at the BMW Championship, as he is currently 57th in the FedEx Cup standings. Time will tell, however, if he chooses to participate in it.
In a recent interview with Golf Digest and GOLFTV, Tiger made this comment about his son:
“I’m still winning … for now,” Woods said. “He’s starting to get into it. He’s starting to understand how to play. He’s asking me the right questions. I’ve kept it competitive with his par, so it’s been just an absolute blast to go out there and just be with him. It reminds me so much of me and my dad [growing up].”

Then, Woods was then asked if Charlie could break any of his father’s records, to which Woods replied: “I don’t know. It depends how bad he wants it. It’s all on him. I wanted it at a very, very early age. I wanted to compete and play in this game. That’s on him—whether he wants it or not.”
As Charlie’s back-to-back wins began circulating across social media, golf fans are thinking about the future of this youngster, and very, very excited at the prospect of Charlie one day playing on the PGA Tour.
