APGA World Wide Technology Player Development Program to Feature Eight of APGA Tour’s Top Players in 2025

2024 APGA Tour Player of the Year and Cisco Cup Champion Chase Johnson headlines talented group of players who will be equipped with the tools they need to reach the highest levels of golf

Designed to nurture and elevate top APGA performers on and off the course, Player Development Program offers a FullSwing Launch monitor, elite coaching, customized club fittings, Korn Ferry Tour/PGA TOUR Monday Qualifier scholarships, fitness evaluations, mentorship and professional development sessions

LOS ANGELES (March 10, 2025) – Eight of the top players on the APGA Tour have been selected as participants in the APGA World WideTechnology Player Development Program for the 2025 season.

The APGA World Wide Technology Player Development Program is a comprehensive initiative designed to nurture and elevate top APGA performers on and off the course. Through elite coaching, customized club fittings, fitness evaluations, mentorship and new professional development sessions, the program equips players with the tools they need to reach the highest levels of the game.

Founded in 2010, the Advocates Professional Golf Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring an inclusive future through the game of golf.

Participants in the APGA World Wide Technology Player Development Program this season include:

  • Aaron Beverly – 2024 APGA at TPC Scottsdale winner, 2022 Charlie Sifford Memorial Exemption into The Genesis Invitational
  • John Baptiste Hakizimana – Runner up in the 2024 Farmers Insurance Invitational
  • Kevin Hall – 2024 APGA Bermuda Invitational winner, 2017 Charlie Sifford Memorial Exemption into The Genesis Invitational
  • Chase Johnson – Two-time APGA Player of the Year (2023, 2024); Lives in West Palm Beach; Three-time winner on APGA Tour in 2024
  • Gregory Odom, Jr. – 2024 Mastercard APGA Tour Championship winner, 2024 Cisco Invitational Pebble Beach winner
  • Cole Stevens – Graduate student at Augusta University, earned a top spot on the 2023-2024 Bridgestone APGA Collegiate Ranking, landing him a spot in the 2025 Farmers Insurance Invitational. Last season, he was named Southland All-Conference First Team and secured the Southland Conference Men’s Golf Player of the Year title.  
  • Troy Taylor II – Overall champion of the Farmers Insurance Fall Series in November; Six top 10 finishes in nine starts last season, including his first professional win
  • Andrew Walker – 2024 APGA Ascension Classic winner, Recipient of the 2024 WWT exemption into the World Wide Technology Championship

“World Wide Technology has been a terrific partner in supporting the growth of the APGA Tour and our players,” said Solomon Hughes, the APGA’s Chief Operating Officer. “We appreciate their engagement in the Player Development Program and their eagerness to help so many of the top players on our tour take the next steps in their careers.”

The APGA Foundation allocates more than $300,000 to support the Player Development Program. Each of the players in the program receives a Full Swing launch monitor, a golf course membership, golf instructions, mental coaching, mentorship, fees for Monday qualifiers into Korn Ferry Tour and PGA TOUR events as well as oversight and accountability from the APGA’s Director of Player Development. New this year, an APGA World Wide Technology Player Development Summit will be held in April in Connecticut at the Golf Performance Center.
