Ashaunta Eppa, LPGA Professionals Southeast Section President, had the opportunity to participate as a mentee in the LPGA Professionals Southeast Section Mentorship Program. “This was an opportunity to gain knowledge on social media algorithms, planning and creating content outlines, as well as creating videos,” said Epps on her FB page. The golfing professional was mentored by Megan Alex Johnston and Epps says, “…she was fabulous! I had a blast!”
Epps started playing golf as a business professional and a manager in corporate America so she could be involved in the conversations being had and decisions being made when her peers went out to play rounds. An ambitious leader, Epps is also CEO and Founder of A Perfect Swing, Inc. (established October 2014) whose mission is to help individuals use golf as a networking tool to advance in their career. She has been named the 2022 and 2021 LPGA Southeast Section Professional of the Year and 2020 Teacher of the Year. She is also the Southeast Section President of the LPGA— only the 2nd Black to serve in the role in 44 years.
