Ashaunta Epps has been officially recognized as one of the Top 50 LPGA Instructors, a prestigious honor highlighting the best teaching professionals within the Ladies Professional Golfers’ Association (LPGA). This recognition places her among a select group of elite golf educators chosen from more than 1,900 certified LPGA professionals worldwide, acknowledging her dedication to instruction, leadership, and growth of the game.
Epps’s journey is as inspiring as it is impactful. A native of Kingstree, South Carolina, and now based in Charlotte, North Carolina, she is the CEO and Founder of A Perfect Swing, Inc., an organization dedicated to helping individuals use golf not just as a sport, but as a networking tool to advance in their careers and personal development. Her nonprofit foundation also introduces youth to golf as a low-impact, life-enhancing sport while providing workshops that strengthen leadership, communication, and networking skills.
Ashaunta is a Class A LPGA Professional Member, and her contributions extend far beyond coaching swings. She has served in leadership roles within the LPGA, including as Southeast Section President, Executive Committee liaison for the national Member Growth Committee, and Chairperson for the LPGA Professionals’ national Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts. She’s won numerous local and national golf competitions and has been named LPGA Southeast Section Professional of the Year (2021, 2022) and LPGA Teacher of the Year (2020).

In addition to her LPGA accolades, Ashaunta is an African American Golfers Hall of Fame inductee and has been nationally recognized as an outstanding leader in golf by the African American Golfers’ Digest. Beyond golf, she holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science, and she works professionally in the tech sector — showcasing a rare blend of athletic, business, and academic achievement.
Epps is also an author; her book A Perfect Swing: A Lesson in Golf, Perseverance, and Finding Your Purpose ties the lessons of the sport to life skills and leadership — demonstrating that excellence on the course often mirrors success in life.
As one of the Top 50 LPGA Instructors, Ashaunta Epps continues to elevate the game of golf, empower diverse communities, and inspire new generations of players and professionals, proving that excellence in sport and impact in life go hand in hand.
