Bria’ Sanders

(April 25, 2011)–Bria’ J. Sanders has set the bar high for herself and she has no intensions of turning back.  The 15-year-old is a resident of Cordova, TN and she has dedicated herself to practicing not less than 4 days a week and playing full rounds at least twice a week.

It’s quite a rbriasanders2igorous schedule for someone who has to factor in homework, family chores. and the typical life of a doting teenage.  Overall–this is one busy ‘little’ woman.

“I’ve been playing for twelve years and it’s all thanks to my dad who introduced me to the game,” says Sanders who has made quite a name for herself over the past few years playing and winning on the junior golf circuit.

Her wins at recent International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT) events include: February at Sanctuary Golf Club on Cat Island, where she shot an 88-82; The IJGT Family Weekend held at Barony Golf Course, in Hilton Head during March, shooting 80-84; and at IJGT on Parris Island, CC 82-85.

Sanders has been a mbriasanders3aember of the Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy since August 2010.  Where she continues to tweak her skills and build on her game.

“My greatest challenge in the game is in learning a new swing while here at the Academy and adjusting to being away from my family,” says the 5-foot, 2-inch teen who is schedule to graduate from the Hank Haney IJGA, and Heritage Academy School in 20Bria_img_129114.

“I love this game because it allows me travel, meet people of different cultures.”
