Brooke Henderson Wins LPGA Tournament of Champions

LPGA Tournament of Champions 2022 Winner Brooke Henderson

Canada’s Brooke Henderson goes wire-to-wire to win the LPGA season opener at the Tournament of Champions, Jan 19–22, 2023 at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club. Even though it was a sunny 82% degrees during the final round, along with it came windy conditions that had most of the players a little defensive when it came to their short game.

Henderson began the day with a three shot lead that never got any lower than two shots, I believe.  She went on to eventually win by four.

Brooke is a 13-time winner on the LPGA tour and one of the elite front runners and closers on the tour. After winning the first tournament of the 2023 season she says she feels a lot of pressure has been released going forward this year.  Knowing that you already have a victory under your belt makes you feel like you’re playing with house money.

Although the 25-year-old hopes that she can ride the momentum and possibly make it back to the winner’s circle a couple more times this year.  Winning never gets old.

Henderson was named the Canadian Press female athlete of the year for 2015, 2017 and 2018. She won her first major at age 18 in 2016 at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, becoming the event’s youngest winner.

Congratulations to Brooke Henderson on her impressive 13th LPGA win.
