Carter Bonas and Broward Sheriff’s Office Partner to bring Free Golf Lessons to Marginalized Communities

It’s a HIT! Carter Bonas of Spectrum Golf, NOW making it possible for children from marginalized communities and veterans to learn how to play golf for FREE and he’s doing it with the help of the Broward County Sheriff’s Office! The opportunity to learn HOW to play golf with Sports Illustrated’s 2022 Sports Kid of the Year, resonating with dozens of children across South Florida.

Through his nonprofit Carter’s Spectrum Golf,” over 60 students have signed up for lessons. The students not only learn how to play, but with a grant from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, Carter donates, gear and golf apparel. The 13-year-old from Coral Springs who is on the Autism Spectrum, has been traveling around the world sharing his inspiring story of why he started his own line of golf apparel, called “Spectrum Golf.” CartersSpectrumGolf.com

The excitement around the FREE golf lessons correlating with Carter’s First Annual Autism Awareness Golf Tournament coming up on April 25th during Autism Awareness Month at the Country Club of Coral Springs, in Coral Springs, FL from 7 AM to Noon. April 25th was also proclaimed Carter Bonas Day in the City of Lauderhill, for how Carter is bringing awareness to Autism and encouraging those living with the diagnosis. The golf tournament is a fundraiser to support organizations dedicated to helping those with Autism.

Carter says, “I want to help encourage and motivate people like me. I want them to know that there’s life after their diagnosis, that they can go after their dream.” “My tournament is an opportunity for people in the community to come together and support my mission, to tell people like me and those with other disabilities that they are important, that they matter.”
