Carter Bonas calls his autism his super power, and he’s leaned into it as he’s become a competitive golfer, an entrepreneur, and an advocate, according to Sports Illustrated who has just named the 11-year-old youngster it’s SportsKid of the Year.
“Golf really did save his life, because, now he has something to look forward to, something he ws good at,” says the young role modle’s mom Thelma Tennie. Carter has also created his own clothing line, Carter Spectrum Golf, where he donates part of the proceeds to an organization that helps families and children with autism.
