Virginia Union University Head Golf Coach E. Lee Coble and Sean Bowers, Assistant Golf Coach have been invited to play in this year’s Dominion Energy Charity Classic Tom Farrell Memorial Pro-Am Tournament Thursday, October 21st, 2021, at the Country Club of Virginia’s James River Course. This will be Coble’s third time participating.
The Charles Schwab Cup Championship is the final event of the season on the U.S.-based PGA Tour Champions, the world’s leading golf tour for male professionals aged 50 and above. Played in late October or early November each year, it is PGA Tour Champions’ equivalent of the PGA Tour’s Tour Championship and was formerly known as the Senior Tour Championship.
The Dominion Energy Charity Classic is the second leg of the Charles Schwab Cup Playoffs. The Dominion Energy Charity Classic will be the last Playoff event before the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship at Phoenix Country Club in Phoenix, Arizona, November 10th – 14th, 2021.
In support of the Dominion Energy Charity Classic Tom Farrell Memorial Pro-Am Coach E. Lee Coble and Sean Bowers will be accompanied by members of the VUU Golf Team. Alkin Barkley (who will caddy for Coach Coble) and Travon Willis, (who will caddy for Coach Bowers) and Hayden Garcia (who will caddy for Darius Johnson, Dominion Energy’s VP, Employee Engagement & Development Services).
“Again, this is a great opportunity for the members of the golf team. We are excited to participate in this year’s Dominion Energy Charity Classic Tom Farrell Memorial Pro-Am,” said Coble.
