Ed Lawson of Charlotte, North Carolina had his first hole-in-one on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Dr. Charles L. Sifford Golf Course at Revolution Park, Charlotte, North Carolina. The shot was made on Hole #7, 200 yards using Titleist 6 Iron and Titleist Pro V1 Golf Ball. His Playing partners were Jay Washington, James Boulware and Don Kinzle.

John W. Love, Sr. has dedicated more than 55 years to the game of golf, both as a passionate player and as a tireless advocate for its history and growth. A gifted historian and storyteller, he shares the rich legacy, remarkable achievements, and lasting contributions of Black golfers dating back to the late 1890s. Widely respected for his leadership and excellence as a tournament director, Love has been a longtime member of the Par Busters Golf Group in Charlotte, North Carolina. In recognition of his decades of dedication and service to golf administration, he was inducted into the National Black Golf Hall of Fame in 1997.
