Elan Trotman is hosting his First Annual Boston Golf Outing on Friday, October 4th at the William J. Devine Golf Course in Dorchester, Massachusetts, located in the scenic Franklin Park. The charity event will kick off with an 8 AM shotgun start, and registration for the outing includes an 18-hole green fee, a golf cart, continental breakfast, a lunch box, and a gift bag featuring a polo shirt and hat with the “Never Lose Your Drive” (NLYD) logo.
The event promises not only great golf but also the chance to meet and play alongside prominent celebrity guests, including former NY Knicks star John Starks, Boston Celtics legend Dana Barros, former Boston Police Commissioner William Gross, Massachusetts State Representative Russell Holmes, WBZ sports anchor Steve Burton, and former Massachusetts State Treasurer Joe Malone. Their presence is set to elevate the excitement of the day, offering attendees a unique opportunity to mingle with notable figures from sports and public service.
Participants can choose between two formats: Team Play or Individual Play. The team format is a 4-player scramble, where each player tees off, selects the best drive, and continues playing from the best shot until the hole is completed. This format encourages teamwork and fun for players of all skill levels. The individual format is for more competitive golfers with a 10 or lower USGA handicap index, and will follow a Low Net scoring system, requiring players to play their own ball and putt out every shot.
There are various prizes up for grabs, including awards for the longest drive (both men’s and women’s categories), closest to the pin (men and women), and top finishes for both scramble and individual play. The winning teams and players will be recognized for their Low Gross and Low Net scores, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in each category.
