The 100 Black Men of Orange County, Inc. (100 BMOC) was formed in 1993, as a local chapter of The 100 Black Men of America, Inc., with the purpose of improving the quality of life for African Americans and other minorities living and working in the area.
The 100 BMOC is concerned and committed to focusing on developing and preserving our most valuable resource – our youth, because we believe that “what they see is what they’ll be.” Consequently, it is important that we reach back into our communities, giving our time, money, interest, and most important, our physical presence.
Our signature program, “Passport to the Future,” is in its sixteenth year. Members of the inaugural 1999 class have matriculated in institutions of higher learning such as the University of Southern California, San Diego State University and Arizona State. “Passport to the Future” is the ideal program for identifying, guiding and developing the hidden genius of young African American males.
Today, the 100 BMOC is comprised of over 50 members committed to service in the areas of Education, Mentoring, Economic Development / Empowerment, and Health and Wellness.
We thank you for your support. See you on August 18th!
