Why ThrowBack?
Thanks to Lawrence Taylor, what started as a little golf tournament in 2009 to commemorate the City of Lauderhill’s legendary golf history during its 50th-anniversary celebration is now a memorable weekend for a monumental cause.
For 15 years now, Lawrence Taylor ThrowBack Celebrity Golf Weekend recaptures the 1970s by attracting caring sponsors, illustrious celebrities, golfers, non-golfers, and a host of volunteers that come together for a nostalgic weekend of great golf on challenging courses, live entertainment, fabulous South Florida cuisines, and just a first-class good time! You can join the legendary Football Hall of Farner and two-time Super Bowl Champion along with a host of his celebrity friends for this fun-filled weekend of more than golf.
Since its inception, the ThrowBack Celebrity Golf Weekend has supported Fore Life, Inc., a 501c3 organization that offers mentoring and golf to an underserved population of at-risk youth. ThrowBack offers an array of ways to join in the Fun and support Fore Life, Inc. and its Golf Instead of Guns initiative.
