Life and socio-economic challenges are a reality that children living in underserved communities face daily. Robert C. Saffold Śr. was no stranger to this plight and that’s why he worked tirelessly to knock on every door to create a better life for himself and his family. Armed with core values passed on from generations and education, he actively made a difference in the lives of countless youth in Highland County. As a teacher & Art and Coach at E.O. Douglas Senior & Lake Placid High Schools, Robert C. Saffold Sr. did more than give students hope for a better tomorrow, he expanded opportunities for excellence within underserved communities and within the lives of the residents.
