Proceeds Will Benefit Hunterdon County Residence for Women in Addiction Recovery

WHITEHOUSE STATION, NJ (May 5, 2023) –Turning Point, NJ, a non-profit addiction treatment center based in Paterson, NJ, will be hosting its annual Anderson House Golf Outing on Monday, June 5, 2023 at the Stanton Ridge Golf & Country Club in Whitehouse Station, NJ.

Anderson House, located in Whitehouse Station, is a 15-bed shared residency for women who are transitioning to independent living after completing in-patient detox and treatment for substance use disorder. All proceeds from the golf outing will benefit Anderson House, which provides a safe and supportive living environment where women in recovery can develop the skills and support they need to rebuild their lives.

Anderson House is a program of Turning Point, NJ, a non-profit organization that provides addiction treatment to those who would otherwise be unable to access or afford it. Many of the women at Anderson House are also receiving treatment for co-occurring disorders and mental health conditions such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression due to past experiences with domestic violence, sexual assault, or other trauma. Anderson House helps patients recover both their mental and physical health.

“Anderson House provides our clients with a safe and supportive place to recover from addiction and trauma and connects them with the services they need to rebuild their lives,” said Dawn Knill, Director of Development and Public Affairs, Turning Point, NJ. “As a non-profit program, we depend on generous donors, and our golf outing fundraiser, to close the gap in funding so these services are available for people who would otherwise not be able to afford the help they need,” she said.

The golf outing includes a luncheon and silent auction offering a selection of luxury prizes, and a range of sponsorship opportunities.  To purchase tickets to the outing, learn more about sponsorships, or contribute an item to the silent auction, please visit: https://e.givesmart.com/events/uLV/ or contact Dawn Knill, CFRE, Director of Development & Public Affairs, dknill@turningpointnj.org, 973-239-9400, Ext. 167.
