“Per Mayor Lightfoot and Governor Pritzker, the Jackson Park Golf Association has decided to postpone our event on Wednesday, March 13, 2020 based on recommendations to cease public gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This FREE event will be open to the public, but availability is limited.
Shattering the Ceiling in Golf – Women Overcoming Exclusion, Inequality, and Pay Disparity.
Come join us to discuss the state of golf today and how we are making strides for equality in the sport we love so much. There will be a panel discussion, exhibit, giveaways, and refreshments.
The panel will feature:
Avis Brown-Riley – LPGA Golf Professional, Hall of Fame Inductee, Author
LaJean Gould – Founder and President of The Women in Golf Foundation, Inc.
Lea Jesse – Chief Executive Officer of The First Tee of Greater Chicago
Anyah Akanni – Northwestern Evans Scholar and First Female Western Golf Association Caddy Manager
Moderator – Mark Lowry
Retired former VP The First Tee National Office and former Coordinator of the Chicago Public Schools Golf Program
