Everyone is invited to hit the links on Monday, September 16, 2024, and tee up in the fight against sickle cell disease, a hereditary illness. Sickle Cell Disease affects an estimated 100,000 people across the U.S. and thousands more across the globe. “Sickle on the Green” is an annual charity golf tournament designed to raise awareness about sickle disease.
This charity golf tournament supports Sickle Cell Partners of the Carolinas (SCPOC), a non-profit established in 2009 for patients and families affected by sickle cell disease. The mission of SCPOC is simple. SCPOC seeks to provide a network of support for patients and families affected by Sickle Cell Anemia; to raise awareness and educate the community; and to advocate for a cure.
