The 46th Annual Tri County Golf Classic will be held from August 30 to September 1, 2024, at Chester Golf Course, located at 770 Old Richburg Road, Chester, SC. The event will feature various flights based on the number of participants, typically around 80 golfers. The flights include Champion Flight, 1st Flight, 2nd Flight, 3rd Flight, Senior Flight (ages 55-64), Super Senior Flight (ages 65 and above), and Ladies Flight.
Each flight offers cash prizes for the top three positions: $400 for first place, $300 for second place, and $200 for third place. Adjustments to flights and prizes may occur based on the number of participants. The entry fee for the tournament is $105, and participants must register and pay by August 25, 2024. The tournament will accept the first 80 players who register.
On Friday, August 30, participants will receive a complimentary green fee for practice, though the cart fee is not included unless they are playing in the tournament. Tee times for practice rounds start at 10:00 am, and participants should contact the Tournament Director to schedule their tee times.
The first round of play will commence on Saturday, August 31, with tee times beginning at 9:00 am. The second round will take place on Sunday, September 1, with a shotgun start at 8:00 am. Both days will feature lunch and refreshments on the course. Additionally, cash prizes of $25 will be awarded for various challenges, including the closest to the pin on all par 3 holes and the closest to the line on hole #4 on Saturday, as well as the closest to the pin on hole #18 for any shot across the water on both days.
Participants and guests can find accommodations at several nearby motels, all located at I-77 ST, Hwy. 9 (Exit 65), including Motel 6, Econo Lodge, Days Inn, Super 8, Quality Inn, and Holiday Inn.
