AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) – 50 years ago, a monumental moment happened in Master’s history as Lee Elder became the first African American golfer to play for the Master’s Tournament.

Residents gathered at the Christian City of Praise, Sunday, all there to celebrate one brave black man stepping foot on the green lawn.
