This year, Coach Gene Tate, founder of the East Palo Alto T-Ball and Pitching Machine, hosted their 18th annual golf tournament at Wildhorse Golf Club in Las Vegas. This year’s event was attended by former baseball and Olympic athletes for a noble purpose. While attendance was down this year, the excitement and energy were gyrating more than ever! Each year this event gets better. Coach Tate has a unique knack for attracting only the best and brightest to this signature event.
The East Palo Alto T-Ball and Pitching Machine has been operating since 1992 and nurtures our local student-athletes by introducing them to local business owners, seasoned professionals, college fairs, and other opportunities available that will shape their lives. In 2003, Coach Tate introduced this organization to the Las Vegas community and has graduated hundreds of student-athletes through his program. Over 90% of his players have graduated from college and are now successfully serving society in their chosen profession.

This year’s golf tournament brought together a few old and new participants. Athletic superstars such as former baseball star Nate Oliver, Curt Ford, Olympian Eddie Hart, and many others made their presence. We are grateful for their continued support and look forward to you actively bringing your team and participating in next year’s event.
