Sea Island (Ga.) Resort has announced a new women’s amateur golf tournament, beginning in 2021. The Sea Island Women’s Amateur will debut July 27-29 at the Seaside Course. Registration opens on April 1, 2021.
Details about the 54-hole, 84-player event are on the tournament website. Sea Island has played host to some of the game’s top amateur and professional events over the years. The Jones Cup men’s amateur tournament is contested each winter at Ocean Forest Golf Club, and the PGA Tour’s RSM Classic is held each fall at Sea Island Golf Club’s Seaside and Plantation courses. Sea Island also has been the site of USGA and LPGA tournaments over the years.
EXEMPTION CRITERIA
Players in the following categories will be eligible for exemption into the 2021 Sea Island Women’s Amateur.
The Sea Island Golf Club Tournament Committee reserves the right to revise any of the exemption categories.
Exempt players who wish to participate in the Championship must formally register for an official entry.

- US Women’s Mid-Am finalist (2019)
