We are sad to report that Veritas World Junior has gone dark following the 2015 event. Veritas came to life because lots of great kids are not being offered an opportunity to participate in a big international event. Veritas World Junior was a California Non-Profit 501(c)3 Organization under the corporation Aletheia Project.

According to the organization, Veritas always felt the test to participate should be competency and that participating in a BIG EVENT was a very positive experience for a young person on many different levels.  The intended purpose of the Veritas World Junior to operate in a manner to maximize the charitable giving potential through collection of entry fees, merchandise sales, licensing fees, sponsorships, donations and other means.

“Our team worked very hard for almost five years to make Veritas a success over the four events operated. Veritas has been successful on many levels having hosted 1,300 players and their families from 40 countries,” reported the organization’s press release.

In December 30, 2011, the Junior Golf Association of Northern California held the first US based Veritas qualifier at The Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon California hosting 174 athletes.

Unfortunately Veritas never reached the required level of players, about 500 annually, necessary to cover the high costs of operating a world class event. The big entities in the golf industry apparently could not see the value being created and would not offer any meaningful support to allow Veritas to continue.

“We cannot thank enough those that supported Veritas.”
