James Beatty, Jr. ’70 is the recipient of the 2021 Honor D Award. This award is presented to former Doane University athletes who have distinguished themselves by outstanding service in their life’s work. Beatty, an ultra-successful businessman and philanthropist, is President at NCS International, Founder of the African American Golf EXPO & Forum and Executive Editor at African American Golfer’s Digest.
The award banquet will be held on Sunday, October 3.
“We are so excited to honor James during our homecoming celebration and we invite you to join us!” said the invitation from Nina Theiler, Assistant Director of Alumni Engagement at Doane University. The public is invitation to the 2021 Alumni Awards Banquet to celebrate the business achievements of Beatty who ran track at the school (the 220, 440), the relays, and set some records.
