The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls Golf Tour (PKBGT) is more than just a golf tournament. Established in 2007 by Girls Golf of America as a local tour and LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program in the Triad region of North Carolina, it started with a simple goal: to create better competitive opportunities for girls. By implementing innovative yardage-based divisions instead of traditional age-based formats, the tour emphasizes developing tournament experiences at each player’s own pace.

In 2021, the PKBGT boasts over 1,200 members and hosts more than 125 tournaments across 11 states on the East Coast and Midwest. PKBGT championship events are among the top 30 ranked girls’ golf events in the country. For more information, visit pkbgt.org.

The PKBGT provides a structured pathway that complements existing “grow the game” initiatives, enhancing current investments to build a sustainable growth model for girls’ golf and addressing the “missing link” in these investments. The PKBGT competition framework offers regional and national competitions for players ready for individual competition. By progressively adjusting yardage, difficulty, and competition levels, the tour guides player development, fostering improvement and self-confidence.
