Mr. King Edward “KW” Whitner, 75, of Mauldin, SC, passed on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Prisma Healthcare. He was born in Anderson County to the late Louis Whitner and Bessie Bowens.
Surviving: his wife of 51 years, Gwendolyn Hudson Whitner; two daughters, Adrienne Whitner, J.D. of Simpsonville, SC and Tanya E. Whitner, MD (Alan Oliver) of Charlotte, NC; one son, William K Whitner, ESQ (Tanya) of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Sarah Allen, Genieve Holliday and Georgia Whitner all of Greenville; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Saturday, October 16, 2021, 11:00am, Watkins Garrett and Woods Mortuary with interment on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
Recognizing that seating will be limited in the Chapel, the service will be live streamed. The family and friends are invited to a celebration of Life at St. Anthony of Padua Gym, 307 Gower St Greenville, SC 29611 at 1:00pm.
