In this episode of Tee Box, we speak with our guest Kusana Turner, a Charter and Founding Member of the Elite Ladies Golf League based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas.
Kusana also serves as Director of the Ebony Ladies Golf & Youth Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 organization established to motivate and train youth to utilize golf for personal growth and academic achievement. Kusana shares her challenges of running both organizations while facing the rampage of the coronavirus during an interview with Debert Cook, publisher, African American Golfer’s Digest.
Kusana has 25-years of experience in operations and financial management at JP Morgan Chase Bank. She was the Assistant Vice President at JP Morgan Chase Bank in the Dallas (TX) Wire Transfer Division before she decided to become an entrepreneur.
Kusana is the Founder of the Investing Money Group and she earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mt. Vernon Nazarene University, and she also holds a certification in Nonprofit Management. Turner also has a degree from Youngtown State University and Columbus State Community College. She volunteers and facilitates classes on financial literacy at WINGS Dallas, TX, an organization that provides women and their families with a better life. She is a Certified Financial Education Instructor and teaches financial literacy at the Northwood Golf Academy in Ohio.
Kusana is an Officer with the Midwest Golf Association and a Board Member of the Midwest Golf Youth Foundation. Volunteer for the LPGA USGA Girls Golf Program Dallas, TX Chapter. Former Board Member of the Dallas Chapter of the Girls Golf Program. Kusana is a charter and founding member of Youngstown and Columbus, OH Chapters, as well as Dallas/Fort Worth, TX Chapter of the Elite Ladies Golf League formerly named the Ebony Ladies Golf League, (OH/TX). Kusana is the Chairperson for the Elite Ladies Golf League TX Chapter.
