RIVERDALE — North Clayton alum Mariah Stackhouse signed a global sponsorship with KPMG earlier this week.
After a terrific career at Stanford University concluded earlier this month, Stackhouse joined forces with KPMG as she vies for success on the LPGA Tour. As part of the agreement, Stackhouse will wear the KPMG logo on the front of her hat at all golf-related appearances.
“We are thrilled to welcome Mariah Stackhouse to the KPMG family,” said Lynne Doughtie, KPMG U.S. Chairman and CEO, through a press release. “We are confident that her determination, hard work and achievements at the collegiate level — both in the classroom and on the golf course — serve as a strong foundation for her future success as a professional.
“Our agreement further demonstrates KPMG’s commitment to elevating women in golf and developing future women leaders within our firm and the broader marketplace,” added Doughtie.
Stackhouse finished her career as the No. 19 ranked player in the world at the collegiate level for the NCAA Division I runner-up Stanford University women’s golf team in 2016. She helped lead the Cardinal to the 2015 NCAA Championship, winning the decisive match in a playoff.
In 2014, she was named the Global Golf Post Amateur of the Year and led the U.S. Curtis Cup Team to victory. Stackhouse is a four-time WGCA (Women’s Golf Coaches Association) All-American, and is graduating from Stanford University with a degree in Communication.
