Congratulations to Midnight Golf Founder Ms. Reneé who was honored with the Louise Guyton Award by the Detroit Community Health Connection on Friday, October 8. The recognition honors Fluker’s Midnight Golf‘s service in Detroit. The award is given annually to a person who understands and embraces a commitment to fiscal responsibility, and represents their respective profession with leadership, integrity and trailblazing characteristics, and in a manner that serves the greater good.

The Midnight Golf Program (MGP) caters to underserved young men and women in Detroit and surrounding suburbs, and mentorship is one of the most essential parts of the program. MGP aims to provide mentoring and professional development in a familial atmosphere for its students and mentors. Students receive one-on-one mentoring with three to five students paired with an individual mentor.

The Midnight Golf Program is a 501 (c)(3) and it was founded in 2001 by Reneé Fluker, a then social worker and single mother who noticed the impact golf had on her son’s life.
