Mizuno has expanded its Signature Series with the introduction of the Mizuno Pro S-1 muscle back irons, designed for players who demand top-tier precision, feel, and control. This new release continues Mizuno’s legacy of blending traditional craftsmanship with modern engineering to produce irons suited for elite and aspiring golfers alike.
The Mizuno Pro S-1 is forged using the company’s signature Grain Flow Forged HD process in Hiroshima, Japan. Each iron is made from a single billet of 1025E Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel, known for its soft and responsive feel through impact. A copper underlay refines the feedback, producing a smooth, satisfying vibration that better players appreciate.
These pure muscle back irons feature a Channel Back Design, redistributing weight for improved vertical stability and consistent center of gravity. Mizuno’s Harmonic Impact Technology enhances the sound and feel at impact, while the re-engineered sole improves turf interaction. Compared to the previous Mizuno Pro 241 irons, the S-1 introduces a flatter camber, sharper leading edge, and increased bounce, helping to reduce digging and promote cleaner strikes—especially beneficial for shallower attack angles.
The S-1’s tour-inspired shape includes a compact profile, straight lines, a square toe, and a thin topline. Finished in Soft White Satin, these irons reduce glare at address and maintain a refined, professional look.
This release follows the success of the Mizuno Pro S-3 earlier this year, giving players another distinct performance option within the Mizuno Pro lineup. Designed in collaboration with tour professionals, the S-1 is built to meet the high expectations of today’s most skilled ball strikers.
The Mizuno Pro S-1 irons are available now at a retail price of approximately $1,400 for a set of 7 irons (4-PW). Golfers can learn more and order through Mizuno’s official website at www.mizunousa.com.
