The 2025 Celebrity Golf Tournament in honor of four-time Hall of Famer Mr. Herbert Dixon took place on May 5, 2025, at the Bartow Golf Course, 90 Idlewood Ave S, Bartow, FL. The event celebrated Mr. Dixon’s 105th birthday and featured a 4-man scramble with check-in starting at 7:00 a.m. and tee-off at 8:30 a.m. Registration was $300 for four golfers and $75 for individual players, with lunch included at Carver Recreation Center located at 150 N. Herbert Dixon Blvd., Bartow, FL.
A large number of people attended the annual event, including many of Mr. Dixon’s family and friends. The centenarian was delighted to see everyone and smiled happily throughout the event while expressing his gratitude to all who came out to celebrate his big special birthday.
The tournament supported the Bartow Deacons & Stewards Alliance, Inc. Scholarship Fund. Sponsorships ranged from $100 to $2,500 and offered various promotional benefits. Sports celebrities, prizes, and mulligan packages added excitement to this impactful and memorable event.
