The African American Golf EXPO and Forum Is Seeking Community Groups
to Tell Their Story as One Minute Messengers

OMAHA, NE (November 5, 2026) — The 2026 African American Golf EXPO and Forum will be held at the Orange County Convention Center collocated with the PGA Show in Orlando, Fla., January 21-24. The EXPO, now in its sixth year, is scheduling time for community groups and organizations to introduce and promote themselves.

“Each group will have up to one minute to talk about their programs,” says EXPO Founder James Beatty. “Yes, that’s right — one minute. If you state your information carefully and succinctly, it will be more than enough time. Martin Luther King’s ‘I Have a Dream’ speech was 17 minutes; Barack Obama’s second inaugural address was 15 minutes. Sam Cooke sang ‘A Change Is Gonna Come’ in 3 minutes and 11 seconds, and Aretha sang ‘Respect’ in 2 minutes and 31 seconds.”

“So, prepare yourself and you can talk about your programs, make a request for donations, or whatever you like. Just get it done in one minute.” Beatty says, “You will join other groups on stage in making this presentation. You will have an audience. There is no cost to participate, in fact, we hope you generate some funds.” Participants can also bring information to handout after their one minute talk.

This will happen on Thursday, January 22, at the EXPO, right before the annual Happy Hour. For more information contact Jim Beatty at jbeatty138@aol.com.

If your group or association would like to be scheduled to talk then send your request to Jim Beatty at jim@imbeattygolfventures.com  just state your title, name of the organization  city and state.
