Phil Neely of Charlotte, North Carolina had his 4^th Hole-in-One on Monday, June 2, 2025 in The James Black Memorial Classic Golf Tournament at Pine Island Country Club, Charlotte, North Carolina on hole #8, 100 yards, using a Mizuno Sand Wedge Club and Titleist ProVI Golf Ball. His playing partners were Dennis Summers, Randy Coates and Frank Brice.

A gifted historian and storyteller, he shares the rich legacy, remarkable achievements, and lasting contributions of Black golfers dating back to the late 1890s. Widely respected for his leadership and excellence as a tournament director, Love has been a longtime member of the Par Busters Golf Group in Charlotte, North Carolina. In recognition of his decades of dedication and service to golf administration, he was inducted into the National Black Golf Hall of Fame in 1997.
