The 2019 Father Son Challenge came down to a 3-way sudden-death playoff between Team Lehman, Team Goosen, and Team Langer.  Legendary Champions Tour Player Bernard Langer and his son Jason came out victorious with an eagle on the first playoff hole.  The format called for the teams to play the number 18, par 5, last hole first.  Langer’s son Jason made his father extremely proud when he hit his second shot 270 yards to within 16 feet, and then drained the putt.  The apple definitely doesn’t fall far from the tree in this respect.

Congratulations to Team Langer on their victory.

Fairways For Warriors

While at the tournament, I had the pleasure of running into two of my colleagues from Fairways For Warriors, a combat veterans group here in Orlando that reaches out and supports combat veterans and their families.  Fairways For Warriors is a great organization and all 3 of us are proud to be affiliated.  We’re all Vietnam era Vets.  We also share a common interest when it comes to golf.  We hit the links quite often together.  I caught up with them in the onsite Father Son Pavillion for military personnel.  It’s like a clubhouse for veterans of all walks of life, regardless of what war you served in.
