Career Communications Group mourns the loss of Robert “Bob” Ingram, a distinguished executive whose impact spanned healthcare, publishing, multicultural marketing, and advertising. Ingram passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

Ingram’s remarkable career began at Career Communications Group, where he rose to the position of associate publisher before pursuing leadership roles at several prominent organizations. A visionary leader, Ingram founded Urban Health Report, a pioneering digital platform addressing healthcare disparities among Black and Indigenous communities. For this effort, Black Wall Street recently honored him for his commitment to advancing health equity.

Throughout his illustrious career, Ingram held influential roles with Pod Digital Media, Sphinx Communications, Black Enterprise Magazine, and Working Mother Media. His leadership also extended to the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), where he served as publisher of NSBE publications and chief development officer, leaving a lasting legacy through the founding of the Golden Torch Awards, NSBE’s flagship corporate initiative.

Ingram’s work with Savoy Magazine and the Tribune Company further solidified his reputation for innovation and excellence. As co-founder of the World Diversity Leadership Summit, he fostered global dialogue on diversity, hosting conferences in cities like New York, Prague, and Vienna.

Widely regarded as a thought leader, Ingram was named one of America’s Top 100 Thought Leaders by the Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM). He contributed his expertise to organizations like Uptown Media Ventures, Vibe Magazine, and BlackDoctor.org, where he launched programs recognizing the healthcare industry’s top executives and caregivers.

In February 2022, Ingram introduced the Holistic Health 100 (HH 100) through Urban Health Report, a groundbreaking initiative spotlighting comprehensive wellness solutions.

Robert Ingram’s legacy is one of trailblazing innovation, passionate advocacy, and enduring contributions to the betterment of communities worldwide. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
