The Senior Manager, Diversity and Inclusion will cultivate a supportive and inclusive work environment to ensure all team members feel welcomed, respected, supported, and valued to fully participate. As a part of the Human Resources team, this position will work closely with all corporate departments and Troon’s Diversity and Inclusion Council to ensure that organizational inclusion initiatives are successfully implemented and in line with organizational values and objectives. Responsibilities include monitoring and tracking company policies, implementing inclusion programs, and reporting on key initiatives to attract, hire, retain, and develop a diverse workplace. This position will ensure Troon provides equal opportunities to all candidates and team members. This position is based in Troon’s Scottsdale, AZ headquarters with travel required up to 20%.
Responsibilities include:
- Research, develop, and recommend strategies that foster Troon’s diversity and inclusion goals
- Support Troon’s procedures to attract, hire, and retain a diverse workforce
- Work with the Diversity and Inclusion Council to research, organize, facilitate, and oversee inclusive programming and engage current and future team members
- Measure, forecast, and present metrics on team member diversity, inclusion surveys, government reporting, and return on investment
- Work with Learning and Development to ensure that all Troon associates have educational opportunities designed to foster inclusive work environments and practices
- Consult with business partners on company communication, both internal and external, to ensure inclusive language, images, and copy that represent Troon’s commitment to diversity and inclusion
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, associations, educational programs, and groups to support Troon’s diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Consult with internal business leaders on best practices to promote inclusion within their business segments
- Work with key stakeholders to manage company’s charitable giving platforms
- Represent Troon in civic, professional, and industry activities in the local community, the state, and at the national level
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- 2-3 years’ experience specializing in corporate diversity and inclusion programs
- A degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or relevant field
- SHRM-CP/PHR Certification preferred
- Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to include evaluating external trends and implementing them to improve the brand and diversify the workforce
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent leadership skills to include the ability to work collaboratively across various organizational levels, departments, and locations
- Understanding and awareness of diversity and inclusion issues and best practices
- Experience using enterprise systems to include HRIS, LMS, and ATS
- Motivation to understand the businesses stakeholders work in to provide
- Exceptional support and business value
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Experience in hospitality and/or the golf industry is a plus
