Jim Beatty, founder of the African American Golf EXPO and Forum, announced today that the president and several directors of Sisters Across America will be attending the 6th Annual EXPO, being held January 21–24 in Orlando, Florida, at the Orange County Convention Center. The EXPO will be co-located with the PGA Show, the mecca of innovation in the golf industry. Each year, hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of attendees participate, making it the largest annual global summit for the business of golf.
President Jacquelyn Shields stated, “I am excited about Sisters Across America, Inc. attending and exhibiting at the 2026 African American Golf EXPO and Forum. I attended the forum last year and look forward to meeting other African American golf entities. Our participation will definitely benefit Sisters Across America through increased visibility and connections that will help us further impact our mission. Our mission is to support and mentor young minority women who pursue professional careers in golf. Sisters Across America, Inc. is ecstatic about celebrating the twentieth anniversary of its founding in 2026.”
About Sisters Across America
In 2006, a group of Central Florida women golfers who had relocated from various regions of the country began meeting informally to develop a plan for a quality invitational golf tournament in Central Florida. The initial goal was to invite women from across the country to enjoy a premier golf experience in the Greater Orlando area while providing a professional and social network for women golfers. During the early planning stages, the group determined there was a need for a more meaningful purpose.
That purpose evolved into a mission to financially support and mentor young minority women aspiring to play on the LPGA Tour, for whom achieving that dream might not be possible without critical financial and mentoring assistance. Sisters Across America seeks to address this challenge by providing the financial and mentoring resources necessary for talented individuals to focus on developing their golf skills and pursuing professional careers.
Since 2006, membership has expanded from a small group of women in Florida to members across the United States, including the West Coast in California, Midwest cities such as Chicago and Minneapolis, and along the East Coast from New York to Florida. As membership continues to grow, so does the organization’s ability to support and mentor more young women.
Membership includes both golfers and non-golfers who share a passion for the organization’s mission. Members include enthusiastic women golfers as well as women who do not golf but strongly believe in and support the mission. All activities are guided by respect, integrity, and teamwork.
Sisters Across America, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to advancing the vision, mission, and goals of the organization.
