The National City Patrol car was involved in a crash on February 26 while they were pursuing a man that they believed to be in a stolen Golf car, reported FOX 5 San Diego. Police received a call on the morning that a golf car was stolen from a local church.
When officers arrived they found the golf cart, and said they saw someone standing next to it, possibly the thief. That person then ran away and police chased after him.
During the pursuit the patrol car ended up in a collision with another car near Highland Avenue and Division Street. No serious injuries were reported, the golf cart was secured and police did return the golf cart to the church.
