The upcoming 4th Annual Our Nation’s Heroes Golf Tournament on June 30, 2025, at the Country Club of Roswell is not only a premier fundraising event—it also represents a powerful partnership between two mission-driven organizations: the Swing Into Their Dreams Foundation and the Salute Military Golf Association (SMGA) of Georgia. Together, they are creating meaningful opportunities on and off the course for veterans and students alike.
This collaboration is rooted in a shared belief that golf can be a tool for both healing and advancement. SMGA focuses on supporting post-9/11 combat-wounded veterans by providing them with access to professional golf instruction and a therapeutic environment that promotes recovery, camaraderie, and renewed confidence. Their programs give veterans more than just a chance to play—they offer a path to personal growth through the game.
Swing Into Their Dreams Foundation complements this mission by using golf as a bridge for educational and professional development, especially for students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Through scholarships, internships, and mentorships, the foundation prepares students for success in the workforce while expanding representation in golf and related industries.
By working together at events like the Nation’s Heroes Golf Tournament, the two organizations multiply their impact. Veterans and students are brought together in a setting that fosters mutual respect, learning, and leadership. Veterans serve as mentors and role models, while students bring energy, new perspectives, and a deep appreciation for those who have served.
This partnership also highlights the broader potential of golf as a unifying force—one that crosses generations, backgrounds, and experiences. It reflects a commitment to building communities through inclusion, service, and opportunity.
