Founded in June 2018 by Preston and JaVonnie Pinkney, The Pinkney Foundation is dedicated to developing the next generation of leaders through focused programming that encourages physical activity, intellectual growth, and the fulfillment of dreams. With the Primetime Indoor Golf Facility nearing completion, the foundation is poised to provide young golfers with unparalleled opportunities to flourish on and off the golf course.
The Primetime Indoor Golf Facility offers monthly membership and hourly rental options, allowing golf enthusiasts to enjoy the facility’s state-of-the-art amenities on flexible terms. Starting from Friday, September 1, 2023, guided tours of the facility will be available for interested individuals who wish to explore the cutting-edge equipment and practice areas.
The success and realization of the Primetime Indoor Golf Facility were made possible by the generous support of major donors who contributed significantly to the cause. The Northern California Golf Association, through its substantial contribution of a Golfzon Premium Vision simulator, has provided advanced technology for data-driven coaching, empowering young golfers to refine their skills effectively.
Tidewater Capital‘s support in lowering the cost of rent and providing tenant improvement reimbursements has been instrumental in making the facility more accessible and efficient. The Summit Bank and Kinder’s collective efforts as Title Sponsors for the annual Battle at the Hawk Fundraiser Golf Tournament have contributed significantly to the foundation’s fundraising initiatives.
Barretto-Co‘s in-kind contribution of branding and graphic design services, along with David Banyard’s visual layout designs using CAD software, have enhanced the facility’s aesthetics and functionality. The substantial contribution of IT equipment by Cisco ensures that Primetime Indoor Golf Facility has advanced internet and networking capabilities.
Donahue Fitzgerald’s discounted legal counsel and assistance during lease negotiations have been essential in navigating the legal aspects of establishing the facility. Keytone
Tax and Financial Services, through their substantial contribution, have supported the foundation with in-kind bookkeeping and tax preparation, as well as being a hole sponsor for the Battle at the Hawk Golf Tournament Fundraiser.
Thanks to the Make Golf Your Thing Grass Roots Grant, the foundation has been able to serve over 400 youth by covering program costs. Contributions from PGA Tour Superstore have helped pay for golf course facility costs, and AJGA‘s substantial support has assisted in covering general operation expenses.
The Eat Learn Play Foundation‘s significant contribution of Logicalgolf clubs has allowed the foundation to distribute over 200 sets, introducing golf to the community. The Oakland Public Education Fund’s support has enabled the foundation to run the Girls Love Golf Program in partnership with the Oakland Unified School District Expanded Learning Department.
