Mrs. Kultida Woods has always been a rock of support, stability, and serenity throughout her son’s entire career. Even continuing to supply that well-needed presence in Tiger’s career after his father’s passing nearly twenty years ago.
She’s walked thousands of miles outside the ropes during Tiger’s junior golfing competitions, professional golfing competitions, and well up until her last days on earth. Providing him that ‘face-in-the-crowd,’ that is probably the “ultimate motivator” in all the world.
A mother’s face and presence, “priceless”. Tiger had to adjust to playing without his father Earl’s face in the crowd after his passing and it didn’t come without growing pains, but he persevered, mainly because of Kutilda’s presence.
My deepest and sincere condolences to Tiger, Samantha, and Charlie. Myself, and the rest of the golfing world, wish you nothing but comfort and closure in your time of grief. Hope we will see you, Charlie, and Sam, back at the PNC Championship at the Ritz-Carlton again next year. You guys still moves the needle. Trust You Me.
