Tiger Woods expresses that he and his son, Charlie, are drawing energy from their competitive instincts as they gear up to participate together at the PNC Championship in Florida this weekend. Meanwhile, their 16-year-old daughter, Samantha “Sam” Alexis Woods, will serve as their caddy during the event.
This marks the fourth appearance of the father-son duo at the annual tournament in Orlando, where former major-winning golfers team up with a family member. Woods shared his thoughts with NBC on Friday before the competition, stating, “It’s been fun, it’s been fun for both of us. We’ve fed off of our competitive nature and we’ve really pushed each other to become better, and it’s just a fun atmosphere. We keep it light, competitive, enjoyable.”
On Friday, the duo practiced together at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, once again showcasing their remarkably similar golf swings and mannerisms on the tee.
Woods recently made a comeback to golf at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas. This marked the 15-time major champion’s first competitive outing in almost eight months following ankle surgery earlier in the year.
