TIGER WOODS is still recovering from a painful SUV injury that has left him with with open fractures to his lower right leg. The February accident in Los Angeles resulted in the 45-year-old being rushed to surgery for the fractures on his foot and ankle.

A 15-time major champion, Woods is recovering at his Jupiter, Florida home and has tweeted his appreciation to fans for the many well-wishes he’s been receiving. There is no telling how long the rehabilitation will last, but in an interview Woods admitted to Golf Digest that the recuperation regime was testing, but did not comment on his hopes of playing golf again.

“I understand more of the rehab processes because of my past injuries, but this was more painful than anything I have ever experienced,” he said.

Previously, Woods has undergone five back operations, including spinal-fusion surgery in April 2017.

“My physical therapy has been keeping me busy,” he further added.

“I do my routines every day and am focused on my number one goal right now: walking on my own. Taking it one step at a time.”

“I have had so much support from people both inside and outside of golf which means so much to me and has helped tremendously.”

In a photo snapped last weekend with young cancer patent Luna Perrone Woods was seen without the post-surgical walking boot, so it seems as if the healing process is coming along.

Hopefully, the golfing legend will be back on the greens soon, with golf ball and club in hand.
