Women of Color Golf is entering a new decade and their 10th Anniversary in 2024. In this new decade and new world of golf, we are excited to announce Troy C. Mullins, World Long Drive Champion and Media Personality.
In 2017, Troy Mullins made history as the first African American woman to win a world long drive tour competition at the Mile High Showdown. Her incredible talent and dedication have earned her the World Record for the Longest Drive by an American Woman, an impressive 402 yards! Troy’s passion for golf knows no bounds. She has made strong, powerful, contributions in the golf world and we have no doubt that she will achieve all of her future dreams and aspirations for the next generation of women and girls to break barriers in the sport of golf.
Her journey is an inspiration to all aspiring golfers, who may face unique challenges in the sport. At WOCG and GOTG-T, we believe in the power of diversity and inclusivity in golf. Troy’s appointment to our Advisory Board reinforces our commitment to providing opportunities and support for women in the golf communities around the globe. Together, we can break barriers and create a more inclusive future for the sport we love.
Troy Mullins, a graduate of Cornell University, where she majored in China Asia Pacific Studies and International Relations, has an impressive background that sets her apart. She is a seasoned athlete, but she also brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. As a former member of the Cornell University Women’s Track and Field team, Troy competed as a heptathlete, showcasing her incredible skills in seven different events.
From shot-put to javelin, long jump to high jump, 100m hurdle to 200m, and even the 800m. Troy is an exceptional, determined and focused athlete. With her extensive background in athletics and her passion for empowering others, Troy has become an expert in her field. She is a role model for aspiring athletes and a source of inspiration for anyone looking to achieve their goals and overcome obstacles. Join us in welcoming Troy C. Mullins to our team!
