The United Black Golfers Association, Inc. (UBGA), a Laurelton Queens (NY)-based Association is accepting applications for its 2021 scholarship awards.
The Community Service Annual Scholarship will offer eight $800 scholarships to New York City high school seniors graduating in June 2021. Seniors must live and attend school in New York City.

Formed on March 3, 2014, as a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit corporation, UBGA’s purpose is to provide opportunities for golfers and individuals of all genders who are interested in the game of golf, to meet and engage in activities that promote unity, and for personal growth and enrichment through the sport of golf.
President Vernel Bennett says that UBGA is special because the organization is more than just about golfing, but about networking, providing scholarships and learning for each other. “We never want our member to ever feel unsafe or uncomfortable on any golf course,” said Bennett who’s UBGA has provided scholarships to over 36 students, giving more than $24,800 in educational funds.
