Bennett first show featured commentary on Dr. George Grant, inventor of the golf tee with follow-up on Lee Elder’s position as an Honorary Starter at this year’s Masters tournament, and commentary on the role of Black caddies. With his quick wit and unrelenting memory the Laurelton, Queens (NY) resident methodically tackles conjectures in conversation while keeps things rolling with jousts of humor and sarcasm.
Bennett’s show runs once a month, on every second Sunday from 2:00pm-3:00pm Eastern, and listeners are given a number to call in, comment and join the conversation.
“This is your living room, your delegation, your stoop On Da Block where we can exchange ideas today for a better tomorrow,” says the station’s website. Bennett’s addition to ODBRS host line-up stems from his interest of engaging with people from all walks of life in an open dialogue.
