Renee Powell, is an accomplished American professional golfer who graced the US-based LPGA Tour and presently serves as the head professional at her family’s Clearview Golf Club in East Canton, Ohio. She stands as the second African American woman ever to compete on the LPGA Tour and achieved victories during her career. In 2015, Renee received an invitation to become one of the pioneering female members of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews.
Renee leads a rehabilitation initiative known as Clearview HOPE, specifically designed for female war veterans. Clearview HOPE is a golf program offering recreation, therapy, and free access to veterans in Northern Ohio. Renee’s ethos revolves around resilience, compassion, and making a positive impact on the future. It’s nearly impossible to watch this episode without being moved to tears.
